Gained her angel wings on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, surrounded by family and close friends. Only child of the late Dolores "Nana" Thorns; cherished mom and grandmother of Joseph (Melanie) and their children Ava and Joey, David (Miluska) and their son Máximo, Jonathan and his daughter Baylee, Andrew (Aubrey) and their children Rylan, Easton and Nash and the late Matthew Lauterbach (survived by Stefanie Wozny) and their son Logan. Also survived by family and friends. Marilynn Lauterbach was a loving daughter, dedicated mother, loyal friend, proud grandmother and devout Catholic. After being an only child, she chose to have a big family and did just that having five boys in five years. There wasn't a day that went by that she did not brag about her children, she was unendingly proud. As they grew up, she cheered them on at all of their sporting events. She never hesitated to help them in any way that she could. She was incredibly social, making friends wherever she went. She was young at heart and always ready to do something fun, from hanging out with her friends or going to a concert. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to any opportunity to be together. It was impossible to spend time with her and be bored. Marilynn Lauterbach will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:45.
