Mark A. Sniegocki,"Snow", age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 20, 2021, of Farmington, formerly of Mt. Lebanon. Beloved husband of 21 years to Lauren (Morgan) Sniegocki; proud father of Adam M. (Teri Demers) Sniegocki of Andover, MA, Emily A. (Ryan) Howell of Highland Park, IL and Molly N. (Emily) Sniegocki of Pittsburgh; grandfather of Aidan Robert Sniegocki; loving son of Ervin and Jean Sniegocki; cherished brother of Sue A. (Michael) Booth of Chelmsford, MA, Sharon L. (Michael) Koehler of Pittsburgh and Sally A. (George) Matthews of Pittsburgh. Also survived by Ann Sniegocki, mother of Adam, Emily and Molly, and loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. Mark was born and raised in Pittsburgh and he was a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School and Bethany College. He was the star kicker for the Bethany College football team, where he still holds the record for field goals made. He spent his career in Managed Healthcare and recently retired in 2019. After he retired, his full time job was to dote on his wife and be the best husband and dog dad he could be. For many years, Mark was an avid skier. He and Lauren, the love of his life, enjoyed traveling and making memories together. Later in life he developed a passion for boating and he and Lauren spent every weekend in the summer on the Youghiogheny River. He enjoyed long walks in Ohiopyle and the occasional stop at the local pubs. The two of them lived a happy and peaceful life in Nemacolin Woodlands enjoying nature. He cherished his 5 mile a day walks with Mona, his best four-legged friend where he made many new friends along the way. The love he and Lauren shared together was a once in a lifetime love story. Anyone that knew Mark knows that he was a loving and caring father who adored his children. It was a blessing for him to see all of his children marry and to recently welcome and meet his first grandson, Aidan. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from noon until the time of his funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
