Obituary For Marlaina Waligorski

Waligorski, Marlaina, age 51, passed on July 28, 2026, of Pittsburgh. Proud mother of Ryan, Mariah (Justin), Brooklyn (Tyler) and Skylar; grandmar of Layne, Lincoln, Noah and Cameron; daughter of Carolyn (the late Timothy) Lampenfield Gathers and the late Anthony Waligorski; sister of Angel. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Above all, she was a devoted mom whose love and care for her family knew no bounds. Her children were her greatest pride and joy, and she was always proud of the people they had become. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate them, support them, and remind them how proud she was of the people they had become. Their happiness and successes meant the world to her, and she loved sharing stories about them with anyone who would listen. She had the kindest heart and was sweet, affectionate, and endlessly generous with her time and love to anyone who came within her surroundings. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offering support however she could without expecting anything in return. Her home was a place where everyone was welcomed with open arms, and no one ever left without feeling cared for. She loved to laugh, had a wonderful sense of humor, and knew how to make even ordinary moments fun. She herself was fun and a bright light to us all. Her warmth, compassion, and giving spirit touched everyone who knew her, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held.
