Obituary For Mary Anne Steiner

Mary Anne (Bucci) Steiner, age 72, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and family, after a courageous battle.

Mary was born on August 2, 1952, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Guido and Nancy (DePasquale) Bucci. She was a proud graduate of Baldwin High School, Class of 1970, and later attended the University of Pittsburgh. Mary dedicated 39 years of service to West Penn Hospital, retiring in 2010. Her family was the center of her world, and she devoted her life to caring for those she loved. She will be deeply missed. A devoted and faithful woman, Mary was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church.

On June 23, 1984, Mary married her beloved husband, Patrick K. Steiner, who survives her. Together, they cherished 40 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her three children: Christine (Jason) Johnston, David (Therese) Steiner, and Patrick (Isabel) Steiner, as well as her grandchildren: Autumn, Emma, Joseph, Angel, Anthony, Natalee, Bryan, Jason, and Laci Steiner. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason J. Steiner (survived by Lisa), who passed away on April 23, 2023. Mary is also survived by her brother, Guido (Shirley) Bucci of Charleroi.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227. A Funeral Prayer will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church. Entombment and the Rite of Committal will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
