Obituary For Mary M. "Peggy" (Carey) McCarthy

Age 90, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late Timothy J. "Ted" McCarthy; loving mother of Mary Patricia (James) Bernauer and Timothy Sean (Maureen) McCarthy; proud grandmother of Patrick J. Bernauer, Timothy M., Margaret K. and Sean T. McCarthy; daughter of the late John J. and Mary A. (Foy) Carey; sister of the late John J. "Jack" (Joyce Bufalini) Carey and M. Brian (Johnnie) Carey. Also survived by in-laws, many nieces, nephews and their families. Mary was a graduate of Mount Mercy College . After several years in her profession, she moved on to her most proud accomplishments as a mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:30 a.m.

    Tim and Mary Pat, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of both of your parents! You guys were like our siblings growing up and I have very fond memories of those days from Fidelity Dr!
