Obituary For Mary Rose Vano

Vano, Mary Rose, age 89, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, of Bethel Park.

Daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine R. Vano; sister of Donald J. (Mary Jane) of Cranberry Township, Rose E. (the late Edward R.) O'Hearn of Brentwood and Joseph B. (Dianne) of Dormont. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 1-6 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m. Due to the current public health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.

    To our entire dear family: May Aunt Mary's soul rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her always and forever...Amen! My deepest condolences go out to each and every one of you. If ever an individual could energize, invigorate and help to illuminate the great City of Pittsburgh, our amazing Aunt Mary did just that! Full of life and full of love, the beautiful young lady that we knew as Aunt Mary positively reflected upon our souls deeper than words can express. An angel in life, and no doubt now an angel in heaven, what a blessing it was to have known her here on earth, and what a blessing it will be to see her again someday in the Kingdom of God! What a beautiful soul our Aunt Mary was, and what a beautiful soul our Aunt Mary will always be! Aunt Mary's spirit and essence will forever shine down upon us all, and light up our lives as well as our stunning City of Pittsburgh brighter now than ever! May you find peace and comfort in my words and reflections learning of how our dear Aunt Mary touched the lives of so many! We were so fortunate to come to know her love. Thank you Aunt Mary for sharing your most precious love and most precious life with each and every one of us, and thank you for inspiring us to live our best life to the fullest! We love you more than words can say! Our thoughts and prayers will be with you without end!
