Obituary For Michele Helmstetter

Michele Helmstetter, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, September 9, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother "G.G.", daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her loving heart and grace and courage in the face of adversity. She was selfless and kind, always putting others before herself.

She is now at peace, free from her own pain and suffering. She was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord, and she is with Him for Eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Joan (Krawtz) Tomovich, and her dear Bubba, Pauline Krawtz. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim, daughter Rachel Johnson, and her grandchildren Jack and Scarlett Johnson. She is also survived by her brothers, Stephen, John, Tom (Jill) Tomovich, her sister Rachel Taha, and nephews Mike (Veronica), Andy (Emily), and Ian (Christina) Tomovich. In addition, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, aunts and many nieces and nephews from her Helmstetter family. She is also survived by her "dear friends" (you know who you are).

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine Labouré Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Church at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please have memorial contributions made to St. Jude Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ for Children or Tunnel to Towers https://t2t.org/ for military families in Michele's memory.

    Mikki was such a sweet and caring person. She had a heart of gold. Being a best friend to her sister-in-law, I felt like I was always a part of the Helmstetter family. I loved her beautiful smile. She will truly be missed. My sympathy goes out to the whole family.
