Smith, Nancie L., after a long illness on Thursday, July 13, 2017 of Whitehall. Daughter of the late Carl and Kathryn Smith; beloved sister of George H. (Anna Marie) Smith. Also survived by cousin Winona Duggan of Buffalo, NY, nephews, and longtime companion George Bassler and many friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her blessing service at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family suggestions donations to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
