Obituary For Nathan J. "Nate" Assad

June 16, 2000 - August 16, 2017

Assad, Nathan J. "Nate" Age 17, tragically on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, of Baldwin Township.

Beloved son of Jason Assad and the late Pamela (Schrader) Assad; loving brother of Victoria Assad; stepson of Melanie Assad and Ron Pellegrine; grandson of Eileen (Bob) Bissell, Geraldine (Fred) Bauer, Brenda (the late John) Arnold and the late Thomas Assad. Nate is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nate will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was a great kid with a bright future. He had a passion for being outdoors on his skateboard and taking photos as an aspiring photographer. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, August 20, 2017, from 2-8 p.m and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of his Celebration of Life at Noon.

    We miss you so much Nate. Im so sorry this happened. We will honor your name with everything we do. We love you so much. GRB wont ever be the same. I wish i could have you come over for one last squad get together. This still feels so unreal. Rest with God and watch over us. We need it so bad right now.

    Nate, I've known you since I was 11... now I'm almost 21. For the longest time, your family was my second family; I got to watch you grow up. You turned into an awesome young man, & it's an awful shame that your life was taken so young. I know you're in a better, safer place now though, bud. We'll always remember you & we'll never stop missing you. Rest Easy Nate.

    I worked with Nate he was a great person. He always had a smile on his face and had a positive attitude towards everything. He will be sadly missed by many people. Rest In Peace Nate,I'm glad you are with your mom now, have fun skateboarding up there!
