Coholic, Nicholas M. CLU, ChFC On Saturday, September 20, 2014, of McMurray, formerly of Whitehall

Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Carole J. (Wallace) Coholic; loving father of Suzanne Coholic, Nicholas (Melody) Coholic and Robert (Linda) Coholic; grandfather of Michele and Andrew Coholic; son of the late Nicholas and Mary Coholic: brother of Earnest (Darlene) Coholic, Barbara (John) Jankowski, and the late Lucille (survived by Matthew) Ostrofsky; brother-in-law Ted (Connie) Wallace and Marie (Mel) Kajikawa. Nick was a 1957 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh and a member of the PHI KAPPA Catholic Fraternity (known as PHI KAPPA THETA.) He was an avid Pitt Fan. Nick was a very generous and charitable individual throughout all aspects of his life. He retired from General American Life Insurance Co. as the Eastern Regional Sales Director and later as the Registered Principle of Walnut Street Securities. Nick was a member of the Pittsburgh Life Underwriters Assoc., the American Society of Chartered Financial Planners, the North Catholic Alumni Assoc., the National Rifle Assoc., the PA Pistol and Rifle Assoc., the Safari Club International, the Dormont/Mt. Lebanon Rifle Club, the North American Hunting Assoc., a Member of the Linbaugh Institute of Conservative Studies and a Former Member of the Library Sportsman's Club. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10 a.m., entombment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Mausoleum. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Virgin School Fund, 5200 Greenridge Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
