Simmons, Norman "Sox" Age 85, on Sunday, October 19, 2014, of Baldwin.

Beloved husband of the late Angeline; loving father of Danna (the late Dennis) Owczarzak and Kristen (Karl) Buechler; proud and cherished Grampap of Angelina and the late Jacob Buechler; brother of the late Edward Simmons and Lorraine Leheny; also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Sox served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired as a Ladle liner from J&L Steel, and spent his free time on the golf course or in the bowling alley. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 10:00 am.
