Condolences

Oneida worked together almost 30 years ago. No matter how long we would go without seeing each other, we could always just pick up right where we left off. She was one of the funniest people I ever met, and I never stopped smiling and laughing when she was around. I will never listen to disco again without smiling and thinking of her. Oneida will never be forgotten.

Ms. Cruz was a great friend and fantastic co-worker. She was the life of the party. She was tireless and kind to the children for whom she worked at Job Corps and Shuman Center. She endeavored to make life better for everyone she knew. I will remember the softball games we played against the students at Job Corps and Ms. Cruz was the pitcher. Her smile was infectious. I know that because of Ms. Cruz the lives of countless others are better because of having known her. She will surely be missed by me and countless others. Lauren O. Hefflin

Oneida was my friend for nearly 30 years. And although we did not see each other often, we were close. She was family! She was loyal, kind, loving, protective and FUNNY!! I still laugh out loud when I think about her stories. So many stories!! And so many wonderful memories! She had a huge heart and I miss her deeply.

There are no words than describe the feelings in our hearts of such a great loss of our cousin and niece. She was always a positive individual which touched the hearts of many. She was a compassionate, loving, non-judge mental and special to each of us in our own way. Oneida loved with all of her heart and had been influential with her words of wisdom. She always believes we are all destine for happiness regardless of our choices and tribulations in life. We simply needed to believe in ourselves and we could achieve anything. We have many fond memories of watching her play the "Guero" y "Pallios" during holiday celebrations with her dad. Music was embedded in heart and soul. We will miss you profoundly and remember you always in our hearts like your mom and dad. Love always

Oni you were my sister/cousin. You've been part of my life since the day you were born. I was obsessed with you as a newborn when you stayed with us straight from the hospital. Loved your smile, your sense of humor and the way you told a story. I will miss receiving all your emoji texts and hearing your reassuring voice that everything will turn out ok!!! Your spirit will always be us! May the force be with you! Love you forever, Robbie.

Oneida, aka Trudy, was my soul sister for the past 18 years. She went camping with us for Halloween and was the life of the party. She shared several childhood stories with me and said that her sister Magda would always be there to fix her when she needed a band-aid or support. Trudy will remain in my heart for the rest of my life.
