Obituary For Patricia Coll

At the age of 90, on Monday, October 21, 2024 of Pittsburgh.

Patricia Strutt Coll was one of a kind, there will never be another one like her. She was the matriarch of her family. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, cherished daughter Jean (survived by Jim) Brown and her brothers Walter, Jim Bill and John Strutt. She is survived by her loving children, Linda (Tim) George, Robert (Jaimie) Coll and Kellie (Chelsey) Coll, her ten grandchildren, her soon to be six great grandchildren, and her loving sister Dona Lampe. Patricia has blessed us all with her never ending support and her tough as hell, full of grit persona. She survived the unimaginable loss of her daughter Jean with grace and faith. She was always there for her family in times of crisis and times of joy. Patricia was present. What a priceless thing to say about a person. She was present. She showed up all the time, from Little League games, to high school basketball games, to weddings and births. She was there for illnesses, small or big, day or night, weddings (even the gay ones) for babysitting grand babies, and for making her one of a kind cookies for any and all occasions. We remember the unusual things about her that we'll miss. We’ll miss her handwriting, her soft hands and her yelling at the TV during a Steeler game. Patricia got the best out of her 90 years. She leaves behind quite a legacy. We love you mom. Rest easy up there with Dad and Jean. Family and friends are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church, 3754 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, next to her beloved husband Robert. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. In lieu of flowers, a donation is encouraged to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106, in Patricia’s name. Her family sends a heartfelt thank you to the village of people that have been there for Patricia.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Aunt Pat from my childhood--her soft, gentle voice and attentive ways. She was the consummate homemaker who loved her family and made time to serve others. May she rest in happy peace with your Dad and Jean and may your memories will always make you smile. My sympathies to Pat's family. I knew Pat from volunteering at Meals On Wheels. She and Jean Hennessy came in on Fridays. She always had baked treats for us. I still use some of her recipes. Prayers , Betty

A ray of sunshine. She always wanted to know what she could do to assist other residents and team members. She will be missed. John & Grace Cardona = Community Managers of South Hills Square.
