Of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, after a period of failing health. She was 76.

She was born in Meadville, a daughter of Thomas Melton and Madeline Petruso McMurray.

Patricia was a caretaker in her family and over the years joyfully cared for many younger cousins, nieces, and nephews. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, going to casinos, and homemade peach pie. She also played a mean game of checkers — it was nearly impossible to beat her. She was a loyal friend to many and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Vogan; a sister, Joyce Palmiero (Mike), of Meadville; a brother Thomas Melton, of Louisiana, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Vogan Jr.

Arrangements are entrusted to John F. Slater Funeral Home in Pittsburgh.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
