Obituary For Patricia J. (Funk) Sobers

Age 91, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Beloved wife of Lou for more than 68 years. Loving mother of Louann (Brian); Lou, Jr.; Tricia (Nick) and Stephanie. Cherished grandmother of Jill and Caroline. Daughter of Selma and Herbert Funk, sister to Norma and Dennis; Aunt to Donna, David and Thom; Aunt to Karen, Sandra and Bill. Pat had a very pleasant personality, very gifted with musical talent and served as Cantor at St. Norbert Church for over 20 years. Pat was Head Majorette at St. Wendelin Grade School, and also at Carrick High School. Friends were received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 4201 Brownsville Road, 15227, 412-881-4100, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Wendelin Church on January 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. and burial at St. Wendelin Cemetery immediately followed.

    We are so sorry to of Mrs. Sobers passing. She was soup a thoughtful person. I will miss her smile. I have such fond memories of playing at her home with Stephanie. The work was a better place because of Mrs Sobers. Rhonda Luffy Graham

    We are so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. She will be missed by so many people. We could not have asked for better neighbors, friends or babysitters. Your whole family has always been there for our family. I will miss Pat's sparkling personality, her great smile and that twinkle in her eye when you know she was going to say something that would make us all laugh. Her light will shine forever!
