Age 81, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, February 15, 2026, of Pittsburgh.

Cherished wife of Ronald O'Connell; devoted and loving mother of Tara (Ken) Kavalo, Michael O'Connell and Steven O'Connell; daughter of the late Karl and Bertha "Bert" Phelan; sister of Donald (the late Janell), Kathy, the late James (survived by Anita) and Thomas; Grandma of Kerry, Molly, Riley, Cormac and Jerry. Pat was born and raised in Brentwood and loved spending her days at Brentwood swimming pool and her nights at Sully's. She graduated from St. Basil High School in 1962 and married Ron in 1966. After raising a family, she pursued a nursing degree at CCAC and graduated in 1982. Above all else, her grandkids were the center of her life. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday and Friday, February 19 & 20, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00.
