Patricia Myers Ryan, 72, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 18th surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born on June 6, 1954 to her devoted parents the late Donald and Betty Myers. Patricia is survived by her beloved younger sister Barbara Karp (Ron) and elder brother Tom Myers (Lesley). Patricia is preceded in death by her eldest sister, Sheila Myers.

Patricia is also survived by her best friend and companion Terence Ryan and proud mother to her three adoring daughters, Katie McGough (Kris), Kelly Koslow (Jeff), and Meghan Ryan. Patricia was a loving grandmother to Aidan and Benjamin McGough, Andrew and Tyler Koslow, Lainey Ryan and Ruby Harrison. Patricia deeply cared for her nieces and nephews: James III and Anthony Ryan, Timothy Michael Jr. (Brittany) and Bobby Ryan (Kate), Cairi and Rowan Myers, and Allison Karp; Sister-in-law to Timothy Ryan (Fran), James Ryan Jr. (Licia), and the late Patrick Ryan; Daughter-in-law to Laverne Ryan and the late James Ryan.

Patricia graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Nursing where she met her future husband, Terence Ryan. She worked many roles over her career in nursing including infant care, pediatric surgery, and finished her career as a school nurse in Peters Township School District. Patricia’s caring demeanor and purpose to serve was evident in her decades of nursing.

Patricia loved James Taylor, seeing him at many venues over the years. Carolina Beach became her family’s favorite vacation spot, taking her girls there each summer during their childhood and carrying on beach vacations as a family tradition with her grandchildren.

Patricia was an excellent hostess to friends and family across numerous holidays. Her house became the gathering place for so many memories and laughs over the years.

Patricia went by many names. Patty, Pat, Trish, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Wife, Sister, Nurse,and Friend. She will be remembered by so many people from the wonderful life she created for her family. She will be greatly missed by so many, including her beloved dog Lily.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 3:00p.m - 8:00p.m. and Friday, September 25, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until time of a blessing service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in Patricia’s honor to help assist with vital research into this rare form of cancer: cholangiocarcinoma.org
