My heart goes out to everyone who loved Pat. The sun shines a little less brighter without him in it.

Patrick Kelly was full of life. His great sense of humor and contagious laugh and smile left indelible marks on all who knew him. He was a loyal friend who could always make you laugh no matter how down you might be. His love of children was clearly evident well before he married and had kids of his own. Etched in my mind forever are the countless walks Pat took with his nieces and nephews â?? especially Butch â?? along Sunnyland Avenue. Pat loved his family for sure and was so proud of them all. I will cherish the backyard hoops games, the sandlot baseball games and the pick-up football games played with Pat during my youth. He was a great athlete and fierce competitor. I always marveled at what a devoted husband and father Pat was. Iâ??m sure he will be carrying that duty on now from Heaven. To Lisa, Devin, Julia, Madeline and the entire Kelly family, I offer my sympathy and prayers. May God comfort you all during this difficult time and may you find peace in celebrating Patâ??s life and memory moving forward. I am a better person for having known Patrick Kelly! He was a great friend and I will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.
