Obituary For Patti (Wawrzyniak) Zivkovic

Age 71, on Monday, September 5, 2022, of Baldwin, formerly of Bethel Park.

Loving mother of Jason (Lisa) Zivkovic and Brad (Patricia) Zivkovic; beloved grandmother of Allie, Tyler and Jeremy; sister of Judith (the late Paul) Sullivan and the late Joseph Wawrzyniak; partner of William Kaplan; daughter of the late Anna and Frank Wawrzyniak.

After being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in April 2019, Patti valiantly fought and lived life to the fullest for the past 3+ years culminating in a long-awaited extended family vacation to Disney World in May 2022.

Patti was known as the life of the party and always put a smile on other's faces. She was kind, compassionate, caring, and energetic and an incredibly strong person and was always there when a family member or friend needed to talk. Patti was the ultimate advocate for her children and became the ultimate cheerleader for her grandchildren who she adored more than anything.

Those that knew Patti best, will know that she could carry on a conversation for days and days and always wanted everyone to know about the pride and joy of her life - her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Jason and Brad I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother and my thoughts ad prayers are with you and your family, I worked with your mother at DRS and she was exactly as described. She was the life of the party and I was so happy to have seen her and talk to her at Michelle's retirement party. Keep those memories of her in your heart and when you feel the wind, know she is close by. Joan Caruso/Stefanovits

I met this vibrant lady when we worked at Liberty Station! She was a joy! I am saddened to hear of this loss. She most certainly loved to brag on her family! Be comforted knowing that she is with our Heavenly Father. 💔 Karen Walker
