On Friday, July 22, 2022, of Whitehall. Born March 20, 1932 in Defiance, OH.

Loving husband of 11 years to his wife Marcia Anne (Papak); beloved father of Paul II, Ruth Jennifer (Steve), Beverly (Mike) and David (Brenda); cherished grandfather of five and great-grandfather of 10.

Paul was a distinguished member of the US Army from 1948 through 1968, after retiring he subsequently received a full disability award as a result of hearing loss from exposure to heavy weapons fire and lung and heart conditions caused by Agent Orange. After retiring from the US Army, Paul joined the Xerox Corporation in Washington DC and later moved to Pittsburgh as Branch Manager for Xerox. An avid golfer for many years, Paul spent many wonderful days with his friends at South Hills Country Club. He was known for his quick wit and timely jokes but more importantly for his compassionate spirit as he visited and provided support to friends in the hospital and extended care facilities helping to bring a ray of brightness into their lives.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local VFW is appreciated.
