On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, of Whitehall, formerly of South Side. Beloved wife of 56 years to Richard Poleski. Phyllis was born on March 27, 1943 to the late Ben and Mildred Russlan; sister of the late Joann (Robert) Plickys of CT and Bernie (Rex) Lanning of Whitehall; aunt of Jeanene (Rod) Neff, Michael (Donna) Plickys and their children: Katelyn, Kyle and Jonathan Plickys and Mark (Kristina) Plickys and their children: Ryan, Emma and Colin Plickys, all of CT. Phyllis was a member of Lithuanian Citizens Society and St. Casimir's Alumni Association. She had the distinction of being the first woman manager of First Federal of Mt. Oliver, she was also the first woman president of the Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce for two terms. Phyllis was loved by all who knew her. A special thank you to the staff of Overlook Green for their care and compassion. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday and Thursday, September 7 and 8, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held at Salvatore's following the service. Interment at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
