Obituary For Phyllis M. Lamberger

Phyllis Lamberger (Haushalter)

Age 91, passed away in the early morning of March 19, 2024.
Phyllis was born in McKees Rocks, raised her family in Castle Shannon/ Whitehall, and spent her Golden years in Sarasota, FL. Beloved wife of the late Cyril Lamberger for over 45 years; loving mother of Linda (Lamberger) Stallings (Jim) and Dave Lamberger (Geanine); cherished “Dedi/Nemi” to her four grandchildren, Ryan Lamberger, Nick Stallings ( Olivia), Breanna Lamberger and Ali Stallings; sister of the late Joan (Haushalter) Schawalder, Ron Haushalter and Jackie (Haushalter) Spine. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Her outgoing personality was infectious, as she endeared herself with all those she touched. Phyllis spent 50 years at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church in Whitehall as an avid volunteer, as well as Jefferson Hospital. While in the Sarasota community she continued this work by volunteering and spending time with friends at the local theater and museum. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Cyril at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters Township. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation in her name to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Linda and Dave: We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She and your dad were wonderful neighbors on Castle Road and my wife and I enjoyed several lunches with her here in Sarasota, Fl. Her honest sense of humor and love of famlily were quite an inspiration. May she RIP. Bill Kopcsak.
