Obituary For Priscilla M. Voelker

November 5, 1943 - February 8, 2018

Voelker, Priscilla M. (Kuchta) Age 74, at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 8, 2018, of Baldwin Township.

Beloved wife of 33 years to James G. Voelker "Guppy"; loving mother of April (Rich) Minech and Christopher (Laurie) Solan; cherished stepmother of Justin (Crissy) and Jeremy (Kristi) Voelker; beloved grandmother of Johnny and Michael Solan; proud step-grandmother to Jacob, Sarah, Ben, Jackson, Finley and Milo Voelker; daughter of Margaret and the late John Kuchta; loving and devoted sister of Elaine (Robert) Broniecki; also survived by in-laws and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many friends. Priscilla's family extended well beyond her own. After pursuing her education and obtaining her bachelor in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, as a nurse for Mercy and Presbyterian Hospitals, and at the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging, she touched, comforted, and helped heal countless lives. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church at 10:00 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to Vitas Hospice, 2009 Mackenzie Way, Suite 110, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.

    I worked with Priscilla at Presby. She was always very kind to both patients and coworkers. She was a wonderful nurse and great to work with. My condolences to her family.

    I am so sorry to here about Priscilla. Her and I went to nursing school together and were colleages at Presbyterian Hospital. She was a dear friend and loving and caring person. I am greatful to have had her as a friend even though we lost touch these past 10 years. She will be missed here on this earth but I know she is standing in heaven with all those who's lives she touch while on this earth. My deepest sympathy to Jim and her family. Ronette
