Obituary For Ralph H. Lutz

April 10, 1919 - December 27, 2016

Lutz, Ralph H. Age 97, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, of Mt. Oliver.

Husband of the late Esther L. (Fuchs) Lutz for over 74 years; father of Barbara (the late Edward) Ladner, Patricia (James) Schmitt, Ron (Donna) Lutz and the late Ralph E. Lutz (survived by Judith); grandfather of Erik Szymanski, Carrie Kuh, Brian and Timothy Schmitt and Adam, Jason, Erin, Alesha and Ashley Lutz; great-grandfather of 12. Ralph will be dearly missed by his family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Norbert Church at 10:30 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to a charity of one's choice in Ralph's name.

    My deepest sympathies to the family of Ralph and Esther. We were neighbors on Arlington Avenue until my employment took me out of Pittsburgh. It has been a few years since I visited with them. I'm truly sorry that I did not know of their passing. We shared many a fine conversation. (Especially about Ralph's coin collecting on the streets over the years.) Best regards to all. I'm sorry for your loss, but happy for their gain.
