Obituary For Ralph William Reitmeyer, Sr.

Of Clairton, formerly of Brentwood and Brookline, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home.

He was born September 22, 1924 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late August and Rose Becker Reitmeyer. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was employed for 37 years at the Pennsylvania Electric Coil Company in Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy aboard the USS Picking and is a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Dolores Y. Reitmeyer and was the last surviving brother of Frances M., Harold A., Frederick J., John P., Vincent J., Leo J., Rita A. Treimel, Gilbert C., and Jean C. Reitmeyer. He is survived by his sons, the Rev. Ralph W. Reitmeyer, Jr. (Ruth Ann) of Llano, TX, John A. Sr. (Marianne), Charles J. (Carol), Gerard M. (the late Patricia), Warren P. (Judie), Kenneth J. (the late Leslie), Raymond L. OSF, Roy L. (Natalie) and Arthur M. (Junko) all of the Greater Pittsburgh area. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:00.
