I was introduced to Raph while in High School. Raph was smart, had a great sense of humor and just fun to be around. Raph also recruited me to work with him at Roth Cash Register for a few months before graduating and moving on with my career leaving the area for close to 35 years. Fortunately I was able to reunite with Raph through our golf group some 35 years later. I am grateful for the times we spent together laughing, busting each other's chops and boasting about our golf game which had many ups and downs. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless, Bob (Bum) Kramer

My condolences to the family. I was sorry to hear about Raph's passing. Many great memories as kids playing together in the old neighborhood. Then years later bumping into each other at South Parks golf course. We talked so much ,almost missed our tee time. After not see him all those years he didn't change a bit. Still a great guy. RIP Raph. Joe Knerr

My condolences and sympathy goes out to the entire Rattay family , My daughter Judy worked with Raph at Roth's cash register. She spoke fondly of him. I only met him once or twice but I was impressed. Rest in peace

I met Raph at Roth Cash Register back in 1976. We worked together for a few years and I moved onto other things. We reunited when we went to night school at Penn Technical Institute. I have many great memories with him and always considered him to be my brother. He will forever be in the hearts of my family and I will miss my golf partner and best friend of 50 years. Paul

My dear brother Raph has completed his earthly journey. His passing is a great loss to all our family, especially to his wife Sue and son Jake. This puts us in deep sorrow. I had high hope that he would make it through and stay with us longer. Raph had so many good traits. He stayed active and upbeat despite setbacks; sharing stories of his favorite pastimes with me; golf, word puzzles, sports, was very up on the big picture. Many great occasions at Sue and Raph's house during the holidays bring lasting memories. Raph knew how to get things done and he passed that on to Jake. It's still too soon to know our true loss. Rest in peace Raph. With much love, your brother, Tom Rattay
