Ray was kind, kind, kind, and had wonderful stories. We were always glad to see him and he made Azalea a great street. One time we admired his marigolds. So he gave us a bunch of his seeds from them, and we have continued to grow "Ray Veri Marigolds". Our sympathy to your family. Jess and Kevin Barry

I will miss my talks with "Mayor Ray of Azalea" that we had every time he'd drive by and see me outside. From the day we moved into the neighborhood, he took interest in my family and our lives and always remembered from one conversation to the next what my kids were up to. When I'd visit him at home, we could talk for hours, but it didn't happen as often as I'd thought about it. How he loved his Eat n Park soup! Keep looking after Azalea, Ray, and thank you for the history lessons and words of wisdom. My sympathy to his family.
