Obituary For Renee (Moeller) Sandusky

Age 45, of Canonsburg, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, surrounded by her family.

After graduating from Baldwin-Whitehall High School, Renee went on to study marketing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After graduating from college, she worked at Valley Media and later had a successful sales career with Comcast. In 2009, Renee met Jeff Sandusky, of Belle Vernon and they wed in 2011. Renee was an avid animal lover, including her two "babies" Sammy and Rudy. Renee was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Kathryn & Lawrence Brickner; paternal grandparents, Edith (Alex) Schragl and Nicholas Moeller and many other family members. Renee was joined at the Rainbow Bridge by her best four-legged friend, Shelby. She is survived by her husband Jeff; mother and step-father, Elaine (Brickner) and Jack Farar; father, Ken Moeller (Sue Deramo); sister, Nicole (Dennis) Lavelle Jr.; step-sisters, Vickie DeTorre (Chris Barnette) and Michelle (Kevin) Goss; step-brother, Jack Farar; father and mother-in-law, Al & Gerry Sandusky; brother-in-law, John (April) Sandusky; nephews and nieces Connor, Evan, Brady, Rhianna and Alayna Lavelle and Cooper and Ivy Sandusky. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 3-8 p.m. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, however if desired, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Society, www.cff.org or CORE, www.core.org.

Renee was one of a kind. She was always smiling and instantly put you in a good mood just being around her. We had many talks about going to IUP at the same time yet our paths never crossed until Comcast. I will always remember her eating Green Pepper pizza on what seemed like a daily basis :). She was so selfless, positive, such a strong fighter and just made the world around her shine with her smile. She had such an infectious laugh. She was so beautiful inside and out. I will miss our lunches we had when working so close to each other, our nights out, late night Fioris, phone conversations about this or that but most of all I will miss our friendship. I will miss our long talks, pizza and ice cream dates, but most of all her unconditional love and friendship. She loved her family (especially her nieces and nephews) and friends so much.
