Age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 18, 2021, of Carrick, formerly of Mt. Oliver. Beloved husband of 53 years to Jenny F. (Hepfer) Kottler; loving father of Richard H., Lisa (Matt) Duffy, Christina "Tina" (Butch) Naumann and Jennifer Kottler-Crowley; proud Pap of Devin, Stephanie, Matthew, Logan, Alayna, Kayla and Alyssa; son of the late Harry W., Sr. and Oliva (Dorfner) Kottler; brother of Janet (the late Edward) Carney, Claire (Jerry) Brassart, Charles (Margaret) Kottler, Michael (Sherry) Kottler, Ruthie (Robert) Federlein, Elaine (David) Gustafson, Karen Kottler, Diane (David) Zysk and the late Harry W. Kottler, Jr. Also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and his lifelong best friend Tom (the late Bonnie) Klem. Richard was a proud Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, Tuesday, March 30 and Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Blessing will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. JohnVianney Cemetery with full Military Honors.
