Richard C. Shuminsky, age 85, of McMurray, formerly of Bethel Park, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer, on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Husband of Laura (D’Abruzzo) Shuminsky; son of the late Charles and Rita Shuminsky; brother of the late John (survived by Janet) Shuminsky, Patricia (Hartley) Mead and Paul (survived by Kathy) Shuminsky. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rich proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for six years. He began his working career with Action Industries and eventually owned Boulevard Men’s Shop. He then returned to sales and worked for various companies throughout the years. His time on the road led him to love a life of sunshine, traveling with Laura and riding his motorcycle.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15.
