Obituary For Richard Clarence Myers

Age 76, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Rich was the beloved husband of Geraldine Kratofil Myers for over 50 years. He is survived by his children, Gina (Sean) Geis, Amanda (Jeremy) Snyder and Rick (Dr. Natalie) Myers; and his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Carson Geis and Aubrey and Austin Snyder, who lovingly knew him as "Pap." He is also survived by his brother, Ron Myers of New Jersey and by in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence W. and Eleanor Myers.

Rich was known for owning Myers Hardware of Carrick and later retired from Pittsburgh Shed. He was an avid Penguins fan and loved sports, especially coaching his children in hockey and softball. Later in life, he was well-known as the boisterous singing usher at St. Wendelin Church, where he was a lifelong member.

Most of all, Rich will be remembered for his outgoing personality and for always being the first to turn a stranger into a friend.

The family would like to thank Whitetail Springs and Commonwealth Hospice for their tender care.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 11:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Trinity Parish, 3198 Schieck Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
