Age 87, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 66 years to Rose Marie (Heisler) Dapper; loving father of Deborah Ann (Dan) Ault, Donna M. Gumbel and Karen L. (Chris) Mooney; cherished grandfather of Dylan and Devin Gumbel, Duncan Ault and Eric and Jason Mooney; brother of the late Rosemary McCall, Edward F. Dapper and Jackie Dapper. Also survived by loving nieces Eileen Pollack and Kathy Simon along with other extended family members. Dick retired after 41 years as an Operations Supervisor in the System Operations Department with Duquesne Light Company. Serviced as the President of the I.B.E.W. Local #149 in the early 1980's. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayers on Tuesday morning at 9:15.
