The trips to McDonalds at 1:00 am when we worked night shift at Mellon to the endless stories about what horse to choose for a race to just holding hands. You will always have my heart.

Uncle Rich, First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust you placed in me as both your niece and as a nurse. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your medical care; that meant the world to me. I know this was a bond founded on love and respect. Second, you were always in my corner, loving me for who I am WITHOUT hesitation, and having unwavering support despite other's opinions or thoughts. I will deeply miss your random phone calls—those little moments that brightened my day and reminded me of the wonderful connection we had. You had this incredible gift for being thoughtful; you remembered special occasions in my life when others often forgot. I will never forget the heartfelt conversation we had after we buried my dad. In that moment of vulnerability, you assured me that Dad would always be with me and made me feel secure, letting me know me that you would take his place if I ever needed a father figure again. Your sense of humor brought joy to my life. Whether it was your witty remarks while teaching me about horse racing or your infamous request for me to be your "computer guru" after you accidentally "screwed up" your system countless times. Your love for animals was equally infectious and it was clear just how much joy they brought you. I cherish the memories of all the free rides when you were working the incline and the day you decided to bring the entire Port Authority crew to my house in Bethel, incessantly honking the horn until I came out just so you could say hello. Those spontaneous moments are what made you, you—larger than life and full of life! You are going to be deeply missed but I find comfort in the thought that you and my dad are together again, perhaps sharing smiles and laughter, smoking cigarettes as you reminisce about the good times. Rest in peace now.....XOXO
