Age 68, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022, of Bon Air. Beloved son of the late Otto J. and Susan M. Maffei; loving brother of Thomas O. (Gloria J.) Maffei and Patricia A. (Phillip B.) Dagenais; cherished uncle of Christina M. Maffei and the late Phillip, Stephen and Christopher Dagenais. In spite of having suffered for over 50 years with schizophrenia, all who knew Richard knew him to be an intelligent, loving, caring and kind person. At Richard's request, arrangements were handled privately through the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. 05/06/2022 Richie was truly and intelligent, caring, and loving individual, as was the entire family. I have great memories of spending many hours with the Maffei family, as a kid, and an adult. Those are great memories I will always cherish.
