July 19, 1951 - September 9, 2015

Fuchs, Richard M. Age 64, surrounded by his loving children, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, of Mt. Lebanon.

Beloved father of Matt (Kim) Fuchs, "Goofball" Michael (Stephanie Duncan) Fuchs, Stephen (Liz) Fuchs and Sarah Fuchs; grandfather of Jude, Dominic, Liam and Calvin; son of the late Albert and LaVerne Fuchs; brother of Donald (Janet) Fuchs, Thomas (the late Donna) Fuchs and Sandra(Daniel) Trainor; special companion of Joan Lang; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.

    The Legion of Mary of Pittsburgh expresses its sympathy to the family of Richard. Your father was instrumental in providing a home for our apostolate in Carrick and we were and are so grateful for his generous response to our need. From the Magnificat House, we have evangelized many people in that area to know the Lord, Jesus Christ and His Mother. The prayers of our 102 members will be offered for Richard's soul. Our Spiritual Director, Father Frederick Gruber, will offer a Mass for him at our annual Retreat in October at Saint Emma Monastery in Greensburg. May he rest in the loving embrace of God's eternal peace.

    I'm so sorry to hear if Mr. Fuchs passing. I worked at EFS for many years and we are all sadden by this news. He was someone we all respected and worked hard for because he appreciated us and we all knew it. He was a fine man and had a great heart. He was loved by his employees and we are all thinking of him tonight. Rest in Peace Richard!!! We all loved you!!

    Dear Richard Fuchs Family: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the death of your father, Rich. I went to St. Joseph School with Rich... he was one of my closest friends. As one of our many class clowns, Rich was always on the nun's "watch list". I had my very first date with your father, in 5th or 6th grade. We went ice skating. May you find peace knowing that Rich is in a better place now and in God's loving, tender care. God Bless you all. Janet
