Richie was my good friend before I moved to florida in 1968. He was kind and spoke softly but had the respect of everyone of us and feared no one. We were 15 and a loudmouth spouted off about us at a dance in Brentwood and Ritchie handed me his crutches and faced up with a loud-mouthed named Warner who backtracked quickly. The world is not as good of a place without Ritchie and I am sad that I waited so long to reach out. He was one of the finest young men that I ever met and my friend. RIP old friend

Sorry to hear this, we were childhood friends back in the 60's

So sorry to hear of Rich's passing. Although it's been many years since we carpooled with the Boilermakers, I'll always remember his encouraging words to me as a young man starting a new vocation. Always smiling, a super nice guy. My sympathy to his family and friends.
