Obituary For Richard M. "Rick" Keener

Age 68, of Whitehall, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, peacefully surrounded by family.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Margaret and his brother Hank (Barb.) He is survived by his loving wife Carol, his children Benjamin Keener (Nicky Dittmer) and Katy Broman (Rich), and his grandsons, Seth and Wesley. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nancy Baltrenas (Jim Kehr), brother-in-law Ed Baltrenas, brothers Ray (Mara Lou), Donny (Jan), Lew (Tammy), David (Chris), his sister Lois Ventura (Pete), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rick spent his entire career servicing Brentwood and the surrounding communities through the family business, Keener Hardware. He loved golfing, bowling and most of all, time spent with his family, especially his grandsons.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

    Thank you for your service in my hometown of Brentwood . From the the time my Dad built our home in 1949 until today , Keeners was always our go to place,We were always welcomed with a smiling face and never left empty handed.RIP Rick .You will be missed . .
