On Saturday, August 2, 2014, of Brentwood, in her 90th year. "Marie" was the beloved wife of the late Warren Snyder for fifty years; loving mother of Ginny (Bob) Bendis, Richard (Lorraine), Martin (Gail); sister of John (Marion), Donald (Joanna) and the late Vera, Joseph and Gilbert Reich; beloved grandmother of Jason (Zahindira) Breitweiser, Kimberly (Michael) Silvestri, Christopher (April), Brandon, Lauren; Brett and Katie; great-grandmother of Ryan and Alexis; Zachary; Stella, Stanley and the late Benjamin and many loving nephews and nieces. Many thanks to her loyal caregivers Lori (6 yrs.) and Mallory (1 yr.). Rita worked for AT&T for twenty-six years. She was an avid sports fan especially of the Pirates and Steelers. She very much enjoyed her family. Friends and family will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral prayers on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at St. Sylvester Church at 10 am, Father Brian Noel will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Brentwood Presbyterian Food Pantry, 3725 Brownsville Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15227
