Obituary For Robert D. Carlins

July 31, 1927 - December 2, 2018

Carlins, Robert D. Age 91, on Sunday, December 2, 2018, of Brentwood.

Beloved husband of the late Irma (Knecht); father of Daniel (the late Eileen), James (Loretta), Thomas (Ellen) and Linda (Luis) Herrera; grandfather of Matthew (Jennifer), Sarah (Richard), Emily (Dustin), Christopher (Alanna), Keith (Vera), Carolyn (Nicholas), Kevin, Carmen (Michael) and the late Rachel; great-grandfather of Noah, Mason, Lucy, Dominic, Katherine, Madeline, Josephine, Victor and Veronica; brother of Richard (the late Jean) and the late John(Rosemary). Robert was retired from the USPS where he worked as a letter carrier for 37 years. He also founded Carlins Tax Service in 1976, which he owned and operated for 26 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish in St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 am.
