Son of the of the late Jacob and Cecelia (Schweitzer) Schorr of Duquesne, PA. Pre-deceased in death by his loving wife, Marion Braun Schorr and sister, Mary Kelleher of Seattle, WA. An incredible father to R. Damien (Heather) of Whitehall, Eric C. (Maureen) of Mt. Lebanon, Lisa Ann of Baldwin, Gregory Q. (Tricia) of Fishers, IN and the late Marion S. Calomino. Wonderful grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Gary, Patrick, Maria, Erin, Kienan (Casey), Natalie, Maura, Leo, Kolbe, Christian and Calleigh Schorr. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Florence Murnane of Palo Alto, CA. Bob graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Engineering. After graduation he proudly served his country in the Armed Forces during WWII. After his discharge, he began his career at US Steel as a mechanical engineer specializing in blast furnaces. Retirement did not slow him down, which was proven when he obtained a Master's degree from Duquesne University in History. A man of many interests, he continued to pursue his other hobbies such as playing his clarinet, studying German and Latin, singing in the Keystone Barbershop Chorus, from which a quartet was formed, and enjoying the company of his four great friends, known as the "Panera Four." A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pleasant Hills on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
