I met Bob in the 1960's when he was hired as a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service in Pittsburgh. We soon became close friends and remarried in touch after retirement. We spoke on the phone regularly about the good old days. I will join those who call Bob a legend . He was the hardest working agent in the office; often working nights and weekends. His work ethic was amazing. I had the pleasure of assisting Bob on some of his investigations and saw him up close. He was tireless and totally devoted to his work. He epitomized everything a Special should be Bob had tax cases on some notorious characters including a serial killer. Bob was also respected in the entire law enforcement community and seemed to have sources everywhere. . As great an agent as Bob was ; he was an even better man. He was kind, gentle , honest and totally devoted to his family. He spoke highly of Ronna and his girls. When I was hospitalized for three months in 2019 Bob called Barb nearly every day to ask how I was I was truly blessed to have Bob as a close friend for over 50 years . We had many indelible memories that I will cherish always. I can honestly say that I never met a better man than Bob Clark. When Barb and I read Bob's obituary she looked at me and said Bob wrote it himself. There was no mention of his outstanding career at IRS- not a single word. However what was mentioned was the exact date his beloved wife died. Barb and I extend our deepest sympathy to Bob's family and pray that God will comfort you in this time of sorrow. God bless Joe and Barb Lawlor

My condolences to you and your family. Bob was my every day customer at Rockwood Mill Shoppes in Rockwood. I would always sit down with him while he had his coffee and breakfast sandwich and sometimes return in the afternoon. We would talk about families and work stories and sometimes spar over political situations. Always ended the visit with a laugh together. Even after I closed Rockwood Mill Shoppes, we would phone each other every two weeks. Again we also banter about something so that by the time we hung up, I got him to laugh. Such a wonderful friend that even though he's in a better place, I will certainly miss. RIP my special friend. Judy Pletcher

I first met Bob Clark in late 1977, joining him as a Special Agent in the Pittsburgh Office. As a new agent you always looked to find those you could watch to learn the ropes. Bob stood out as a prime example of what a Special Agent should be. I worked with Bob until he decided to retire. He was a supremely competent investigator who was dedicated to his profession. He was also a genuinely honest human being. I was not acquainted with his loving family, but understand that he was very dedicated to them. It was an honor to have known him and I offer my deepest sympathies to his family and pray for them as they deal with their loss. God Bless you, Ed Reiser.

Special Agent Robert Clark will always be known as the best of the best! God broke the mold when He created Bob. Loving, kind, family man, disciplined and authentic are words that don't come close to describing the man who inspired so many others in the law enforcement community. No one could dig in deeper and stay focused on an investigation like Bob did. An amazing man and will always be known as a legend in the law enforcement community. Clark Family, thanks for sharing him with all of us. He made us better by being in our world for sure. Prayers for you all as you remember all the great memories of him. God Bless you at this time! May God welcome the gentle giant Robert into his kingdom and reunite him with his love of life his wife Ronna for everlasting eternity. Ronna and Robert were my in-laws the best and kindest any person could ever ask for. It saddens me deeply to lose him physically but the memories of Robert and Ronna will be in my heart forever Jim Tomko

So many good memories of both Bob and Ronna. I always enjoyed their company, even as a little kid. I have a distinct memory of them taking several of us Higgins kids out for ice cream during our grandfather's viewing. I was so uncomfortable there and so happy to get away with them for a short time. They were both wonderful people. Lynne (Higgins) Hood
