Obituary For Robert Silinski

May 20, 1936 - January 20, 2014

Silinski, Robert, age 77, after a long illness, on Monday, January 20, 2014 of Baldwin, formerly of Southside.

Loving husband of 51 years to Elaine (Tarabek); beloved father of Rob (Karen), Russ, and Diane (Greg) Meszaros; proud grandpa of Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Mikayla Silinski and Zach Meszaros; brother of the late Raymond (Ellie) Silinski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob was a long-time machinist, had a life-long passion for the outdoors, and enjoyed being with family at their farm in Pymatuning. He will be forever remembered being a founding father of the Caldwell Creek fishing tradition.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the Light of the World Parish at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Silinski Family Foundation Fund, c/o National Christian Foundation, 400 Office Park Drive, Suite 201, Birmingham, AL 35223.

    Elaine, Rob, Russ, Diane and family, I just learned about Bob today Jan. 24. I am very sorry for your loss. Back in the 1950's, Bob and my family had wonderful times.
