Age 61, after a brief unexpected illness on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, of Baldwin. Beloved husband of 36 years to Lori L. (Basara); loving dad of Kali B. Meyers; son of the late Charles and Dolores Meyers; son-in-law of Nancy and the late Rudolph Basara; brother-in-law of Darlene Basara-Liberi. Also survived and missed by his nieces and nephews. Robbie was well-known as the lead singer/vocalist of the Van Halen tribute band "Mean Street". He was at his happiest performing for his fans and being with his family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:30. From raising money for children with cancer or specific children that were sick, every show had a heartfelt reason to play, he was amazing with the kids and what he did for them to encourage their love of Music, one show he had children come in and play the instruments while he sang.
