Obituary For Ronald J. Graham

February 5, 1943 - January 4, 2015

Graham, Ron Age 71, on Sunday, January 4, 2015, of Brentwood.

Son of the late Gertrude and Edmund Urbaniak and Robert J. Graham; brother of Judi (Chuck) Sanders, David (Linda) Urbaniak, Sharon (Jeff) King and the late Christine Urbaniak; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Ron served in the U.S. Marine Corp and worked as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 yrs. He was a longtime coach for the Brentwood Dukes youth football league and an enthusiast of historical events especially the Civil War. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 3 - 8 pm where a Blessing Service will be held at 7:30. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    I am deeply saddened to hear of Ron's passing. My prayers are with his family. The world was a better place with him in it. I knew Ron from when he came to coach football with us at Baldwin Whitehall Youth Football. One thing I learned very rapidly about Ron was that what you saw was what you got. He loved the kids he coached and cared about everyone of them. The world could use a few more Coach Graham's in it. God's speed and Semper Fi my friend.
