Obituary For Ronald J. Guatell

Passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, November 6, 2025, of Baldwin.

Cherished husband of the late Margaret M. Guatell; loving father of Cheri (Keith) Young, Dan (Jennifer) Guatell and the late Robert Guatell; Pap of Erica (Ryan) Abbott, Jack Guatell and the late Taylor Young; great-Pap Pap of Mason and Beau Abbott; beloved son of the late Clarence and Edna Guatell; brother of William (the late Pat) Guatell and Gary (Linda) Guatell. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army. A self-named bird and tree specialist, Ron loved spending his time outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his hunting and fishing buddies. Ron lived life on his terms. He will forever will live on for all those he touched during his time here on earth. For his entire life, he always cared so deeply about his family, his friends and nature. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 2-7 p.m. where a blessing service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Please meet at the funeral home by 9:45 a.m. to process to the cemetery.
