Obituary For Ronald K. Silverman

July 27, 1946 - March 14, 2017

Silverman, Ronald "Rick" King, age 70 of Scott Township, formerly Greenfield, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Son of the late Fred and Dolores Silverman; stepson of Henry "Sunny" Demase; beloved husband of the late Patricia "Patti" (Etzel) Silverman; devoted father to Dean, Aaron, and Shera Silverman; cherished grandfather to the loves of his life, Jordyn and Jaidyn Silverman; brother of Ken (Donna) Silverman. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on at 8:00 p.m.

    This is long overdue, but I was cleaning off my very cluttered desk, and came across a small slip of paper with his name and address. I never met Ron, or RKS as I knew him for years, and the handle he used on-line. He was a part of several hockey message boards that I participated in, and I always appreciated his hockey opinions and Penguins fandom. Even though I'm a Capitals fans. We butted heads many times, but always in a respectful way. Well, most of the time. 😉 He has been missed on the boards. Late I know, but my thoughts and prayers to the family.
