Many years later, I can fondly recall Ron's laugh (more of a giggle) and his perpetual big grin. Together we endured some brutal football practices at both Baldwin HS and later at Bethany College, but Ron always lifted his teammate's spirits with his endurance, toughness (Ouch! the dude could hit!), and always his sense of humor. Though a continent apart for many decades, being born on the exact same July day in 1961 made Ron easy for me to remember on his birthday every year for the last 50yrs. It will for the years to come as well. My heartfelt condolences to Sue, Eric, Mr. and Mrs. Harris, and the entire family.

Ron was one of the best friends a man could ever ask for. From our times playing football, the fire department, hunting, and to taking dates at the local fire hall dances, I was blessed to have a buddy like Ron. Ron was ALWAYS a steadfast and loyal friend. I can't begin to describe what we have lost and it breaks my heart to say goodbye to him so soon. I will deeply miss you my friend. To Sue and Ron Jr., Mr and Mrs Harris, Ron was a true blue and one of a kind guy and I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray for God's peace for you all.

Susie's and my mother endured many illnesses before she past away in 1999. My fondest memory and greatest appreciation of Ron was that he was there every single time for Susie and our family. I will never forget the love and support from Ron in those troubling days. God Bless you Ron, thanks for being there.
