Obituary For Rose Marie Ulrich

October 11, 1926 - March 1, 2019

Rose Marie Ulrich, age 92, born in Sutersville, PA on October 11, 1926, to John and Mary (Toman) Kertis, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Artis Senior Living. She was a resident of Pleasant Hills for most of her life. She graduated from West Newton High School in 1943 and worked as paymaster for Koppers in Pittsburgh until she and her husband, Harry Albert Ulrich (deceased) were expecting their first child. She is mother to Diane (deceased), Mark, Christopher, Carol, Kurt, Joel and Paul. Sister to Edward (deceased) and Carl Kertis. She will be dearly missed by daughters-in-law Gayle, Jane, Gail, Tawn and Jennifer, grandchildren Melissa, Raina, Jessica, Corey, Matthew, Elizabeth, Neal, Emily, Gabrielle, River, Caroline, Susannah, and great grandchildren Ashley, Jonah, Jacob, Isabelle and Abigail, many other family members, neighbors and friends. She was an enthusiastic volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Jefferson Hospital for many years and loved being a Poll Worker for her Borough. She enjoyed musical theater with her late husband and her girlfriends. She was a 70-year member of St Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Pleasant Hills. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to South Park Meals on Wheels, 6810 Hilldale Drive, South Park, PA 15236, Att: Pam Mason.
