Obituary For Roy John "RJ" Mott

Age 61, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, of Baldwin, formerly of Brentwood.

Beloved husband of 28 years to Lisa Mott; loving and devoted dad of Chelsea Mott (fiancé Zach Alaimo) and Jared Mott; devoted son of the late Marguerite "Margie" Mott; brother of Jim (Cindy) Mott, Lisa (Bob) Stefanowicz, Lynda (Ted) Green and the late Johnny Mott; son-in-law of Mary Lou and the late Nick Vasilopoulos; brother-in-law of Karen (Ron) Palonis and Paul (Sharon) Vasilopoulos. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. RJ proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a longtime member of Local #542 Sprinkler Fitters, an extremely hard worker and master of all trades. RJ was a truly good man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. Due to the current health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. A blessing service and interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will both be held privately. RJ was my first hunting partner, lifting "buddy" at Chucky K's "gym", and friend whom I considered close enough to have in my wedding party. I know he will be sorely missed by all.
