Karen, Emily, Theresa, and Russ's Family, I had the opportunity to work with Russ for many years at Trinity Middle and Trinity North. He was the greatest. guy!! He was always trying to improve on his teaching==he was so dedicated to his students. He was also very funny and he could turn a tough situation into a comedy in no time. I have moved to Florida so I will not be able to attend any services which I am sorry to miss. You can rest assured that I personally know that Russ made a huge impact on his students and touched their lives in many ways. He was always an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He will be sorely missed!! One quick story I remember I had skipped work to golf with my sisters in a golf outing. I was getting ready to tee off and I heard someone yelling my name. I turned to see Russ and he wanted to know why I wasn't in school--I was a little scared but then I looked at him and I asked why he wasn't in school and we both started laughing!! Just a great all around guy with a love for reading just like the rest of us bookworm reading specialists. There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone and that is Russ. Love and prayers to your family, Love, Maureen Witting and family

This month it will be two years since I first met Russ. In that time period I have come to know Russ to be a true " Gentleman" in every sense of the word. It was a real pleasure to work with Russ on the Library Board. Both the Whitehall Public Library and the Whitehall community became better places because of Mr. Russ Walker. He will be missed by so many people. Many prayers go to Karen and her family.

We can't believe our dear friend is gone. We have known Russ and Karen for some time now, developing a friendship through high school marching band. What great times we had volunteering at various functions, and on band trips! Russ had such an awesome sense of humor; we will miss his stories. My (Kate's) favorite story was when he was in elementary school, and at the end of the day when the office announced that "all walkers are now dismissed...", Russy left, not sure why he had to walk home! Still makes me giggle!! Rest in peace, our dear friend. You will be sorely missed.

My deepest sympathy to Russ's family. Russ was one-of-a-kind, devoted to his family, his teaching, and his community. I enjoyed our years of teaching together at North. Russ will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by many.

My deepest sympathy to Karen, Emily, Theresa, and family. I've only known Russ for a short period of time working with him on the board of the Friends of the Whitehall Public Library, but in that short time he became a friend to me. He was truly devoted to the Library for many, many, years and will be sadly missed by all who knew him and worked with him. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss and will continue to be with you in the days ahead. Prayerfully, Joan Comstock

It has been my honor to know Russ Walker. Russ was devoted to his family, his community and more specifically his public library. The Whitehall Library will never know another like him. He is sorely missed by his library 'family' and we will treasure his memory forever.
